Creating posts
Choose the right way to create posts in Social9, from one post in Create or AI writing to Plan many, photo uploads and CSV import, and what every post has.
On this page
There is more than one way to make a post. Pick the one that matches what you have in hand.
Which way to use#
| You have | Use | Where |
|---|---|---|
| One thing to say | Create a post | New post at the top, or Create → Create post |
| Nothing written yet | Write with AI in the Create Post window, or a ready-made Template | Create → Create post, or Create → Templates |
| An idea saved for later | Ideas board, then Post | Dashboard → Create → Ideas |
| A link or an idea for a whole week or month | Plan your week | Home → Fill your calendar (This week, Next 2 weeks or A month), or Plan many at the top of the Upload page |
| A folder of photos and videos | Upload and schedule | Dashboard → Upload |
| A spreadsheet of posts | CSV import | Dashboard → Upload → Import a CSV |
The Upload page has a switch at the top to move between Write (opens the Create Post window), Plan many and Upload.
What every post has#
- A brand. Posts are always written for one brand, in its voice.
- Accounts. One or more connected accounts of that brand.
- Text, media or both. Some networks need media. See Networks.
- A status. Draft, waiting for approval, scheduled, posted, or didn't post.
Times are in the brand's timezone. A brand uses the workspace timezone (Account menu → Workspace → Default timezone) unless you give it its own. See Timezones.
