Anti-Spam Policy
Social9 is built for publishing your own content, on your own schedule. It is never a tool for spam.
Social9 has zero tolerance for spam. Social media platforms trust Social9 to publish on their users' behalf, and that trust depends on every customer using it responsibly. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
1. What Counts as Spam
You must not use Social9 to:
- Publish the same or nearly the same content across many accounts, or repeatedly to one account, in a way the platform prohibits
- Post at a volume or frequency meant to flood feeds, hashtags or search results
- Tag or mention people who have no connection to the content, to attract attention
- Stuff posts with unrelated hashtags or keywords
- Hide where a link goes, or send people to deceptive, malicious or low-quality pages
- Publish engagement bait, such as asking for likes, shares or follows in exchange for rewards where the platform forbids it
- Publish to accounts you do not own or are not authorised to manage
- Run fake or coordinated accounts, or artificially inflate followers, likes, views or comments
2. Safeguards Built Into Social9
- Social9 publishes only content that you or your team created or approved, to accounts you connected yourself through each platform's official sign-in.
- Social9 does not offer automated following, unfollowing, liking, commenting or direct messaging.
- Social9 publishes through each platform's official API and stays within its posting and rate limits.
- We monitor for unusual publishing patterns and may pause publishing on an account while we review it.
3. Email We Send
Social9 follows the CAN-SPAM Act, the GDPR, the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
- We send transactional emails, such as receipts, security alerts and failed-post notices, because they are needed to run your account.
- We send marketing emails only where you have agreed to receive them, or where the law allows us to contact existing customers.
- Every marketing email identifies Social9, includes our postal address (201 Spear St, San Francisco, CA 94105), and has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Unsubscribe requests are honoured promptly, and within 10 business days at the latest.
- We never buy, rent or sell email lists.
4. Reporting Spam
If you see spam that you believe was published through Social9, or receive unwanted email from us, email [email protected] with "Abuse Report" in the subject and include a link to the content. We review every report. You can also report spam to the platform directly, using its own reporting tools.
5. Consequences
Breaking this policy can lead to cancelled posts, disconnected accounts, and suspension or closure of your Social9 account without a refund, as set out in our Acceptable Use Policy. Platforms may also take their own action against your accounts.
