Acceptable Use Policy

The rules that keep Social9, the platforms we publish to, and their communities safe.

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Social9, and to all content created, scheduled or published through it. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Because Social9 publishes to other platforms, you must also follow the rules of every platform you connect. Where a platform's rules are stricter than this policy, the stricter rule applies.

1. Prohibited Content

You must not use Social9 to create, store, schedule or publish content that:

  • Is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity
  • Sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form
  • Promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or threatens or incites violence
  • Harasses, bullies or attacks people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation
  • Contains sexually explicit material, or intimate images shared without consent
  • Is fraudulent or deceptive, including scams, phishing, fake giveaways and pyramid schemes
  • Spreads false information likely to cause real harm, such as false health claims or misleading information about elections or voting
  • Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights (see our Copyright & DMCA Policy)
  • Shares someone's private information without permission, such as home addresses, ID numbers or private contact details
  • Impersonates a person, brand or organisation in a misleading way
  • Promotes regulated goods or services (such as alcohol, gambling, firearms, financial products or pharmaceuticals) without following the laws and platform rules that apply to them
  • Contains malware, or links to malicious or deceptive websites

2. Platform Integrity

You must not use Social9 to:

  • Send spam or manipulate a platform, as described in our Anti-Spam Policy
  • Connect or publish to an account you do not own or are not authorised to manage
  • Inflate engagement artificially, coordinate inauthentic behaviour, or operate networks of fake accounts
  • Get around a suspension, ban or restriction imposed by a platform
  • Break any platform's terms of service, developer policies, community guidelines, advertising policies or branded-content disclosure rules

3. Responsible Use of AI

  • Review AI-generated content before you schedule it. You are responsible for what you publish.
  • Do not create realistic images, video or audio of real people saying or doing things they did not do, without their consent.
  • Label AI-generated or altered content wherever a platform or the law requires it.
  • Do not use our AI features to produce any content prohibited by this policy.

More detail is in our Responsible AI Policy.

4. Security and Service Abuse

You must not:

  • Access, probe or test Social9's systems without permission, except under our vulnerability disclosure terms
  • Access another customer's account or data
  • Scrape, copy or extract data from Social9, or from social platforms through Social9
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Services
  • Overload or disrupt the Services, or bypass usage limits
  • Share your login credentials, or resell access to Social9 without our written permission

5. Reporting Violations

To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, email [email protected] with "Abuse Report" in the subject line, and include links or screenshots. Content already published lives on the social platform, so please also report it to that platform using its own reporting tools. Security vulnerabilities go to [email protected].

6. Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been broken, we may, depending on the seriousness:

  • Remove content or cancel scheduled posts
  • Disconnect a social media account from Social9
  • Restrict features, or suspend or close the account
  • Inform the affected platform, or law enforcement where required

Where we can, we will tell you what we did and why, and give you a chance to respond. We act immediately and without notice where there is a risk of serious harm or a legal requirement.

Changes

We may update this policy as platforms, laws and risks change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
