Responsible AI Policy

How Social9 uses AI, how we protect your data, and how we keep you in control of what gets published.

AI is at the heart of Social9. This policy explains how we use it and the principles we follow, so you can use it with confidence.

1. How Social9 Uses AI

  • Drafting and editing posts, captions, hashtags and ideas
  • Adapting content to each platform's format and length
  • Matching your brand voice, based on the guidelines and examples you provide
  • Translating and localising content into other languages
  • Estimating how content may perform, to help you choose what to publish

2. You Stay in Control

AI in Social9 suggests; you decide. Nothing is published to your social media accounts unless you, or a member of your team with permission, created or approved it and scheduled it. Social9 does not publish AI content automatically on its own initiative.

3. AI Providers

Social9 uses large language models from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI and Google (Gemini), accessed directly and through OpenRouter. They are listed on our Sub-processors page. We send them only the content needed to generate a response.

4. Your Data and Model Training

  • We use AI providers under business terms that do not allow them to train their models on your content.
  • Social9 does not use your content to train general-purpose AI models.
  • Brand voice settings belong to your workspace and are never shared with, or used for, other customers.
  • You own the content you create with Social9, as set out in our Terms of Service.

5. Accuracy and Limits

AI can be wrong. It can state facts incorrectly, miss context or cultural nuance, or reflect bias in its training data. Performance estimates are predictions, not guarantees. Always review AI output before you publish it, especially facts, figures, names, claims about products, and translations.

6. Transparency and Labelling

Many platforms require creators to disclose realistic AI-generated or altered content, and some laws do too. You are responsible for applying the labels and disclosures that apply to your content and audience. We encourage being open with your audience about how your content is made.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Social9's AI features to create deceptive deepfakes of real people, misinformation, spam, or any content prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy. Our AI providers also apply their own safety systems and may refuse some requests.

8. Feedback

If Social9 produced something harmful, inaccurate or inappropriate, tell us at [email protected] with "AI Feedback" in the subject. Reports help us improve our safeguards.
