Plan your week

Paste a link or describe what to promote, and Social9 writes a week, two weeks or a month of posts for you to check and schedule.

On this page

Plan many writes a whole batch of posts for you, from a link or a few lines, so you can fill your calendar in one go.

Which plan: All plans. It uses AI credits (4 per post). Send for approval needs Team, Agency or Enterprise.

Where to find it#

On Home, under Fill your calendar, press This week, Next 2 weeks or A month. Or press Plan many in the switch at the top of Create → Upload, or search for Plan a week of posts (Ctrl + K).

The page works for the brand picked in the switcher at the top. It has three steps: Describe, Review and Schedule.

How to plan your posts#

Step 1: Describe#

  1. Under How far ahead?, choose This week, Next 2 weeks or A month.
  2. Under What to post about, choose Paste a link and paste your website, a blog post or a product page. Or choose Describe it and write a few lines (at least 10 characters). Leave the link empty to use your brand profile.
  3. Under Where to post, tick the accounts. All your connected accounts are ticked to start. Networks you have not connected show Preview: posts for them are saved as drafts until you connect that account.
  4. Pick Posts per week (1 to 14, shared across the accounts you picked), Start on (tomorrow or later) and Language.
  5. Check Your plan on the right: posts, accounts, start date and credits.
  6. Press Write 12 posts (the button shows how many it will write). It takes a minute or two.

Step 2: Review#

The posts appear by week and day, each with its network and time. Posts you already have on those days show under Already scheduled.

For each post you can:

  • edit the text right in the box;
  • press the time to change it;
  • add an image;
  • press Rewrite to get a new version (4 credits);
  • press Remove, and Restore to bring it back.

To change several at once, tick them (or Select all, or Select week), then use Remove, Restore, Rewrite or Add image.

Labels on a post tell you more: Edited, Rewritten, New time, Too long for a network, or Similar to your post on Oct 3 (see No repeats). Why this post shows what it was based on. See Fact checks.

When you are happy, press Next: schedule.

Step 3: Schedule#

  1. Under How should they go out?, choose:
    • Schedule them: each post goes out at its time.
    • Send for approval: your team checks each post first (Team plan and up).
  2. Check the list of days on the right.
  3. Press Schedule 12 (or Send 12 for approval). Press Back to review to change something first.

You land on the calendar (or on Approvals). Posts for networks you have not connected are saved as drafts.

What it costs#

Each post4 credits
Rewrite one post4 credits
Posts that could not be writtenFree

The total shows before you press Write, for example 12 posts · 48 credits. If your credits don't cover everything, you see Your credits cover 8 of 12 posts. It writes what you can afford; the rest show as Locked until you get more credits.

Plan my week (one button)#

Home → Plan my week is the quick version. The same button is on the Autopilot page (under Tools).

  • It writes the coming 7 days for the brand's connected accounts, from your brief and topics (or your brand description if there is no brief yet).
  • By default that is 3 posts a week for each account. Change it under How often to post on the Autopilot page.
  • It needs enough credits for the whole week. Unlike Plan many, it does not write part of a week.
  • What happens next depends on your Autopilot mode: drafts, posts waiting for approval, or scheduled posts.
  • Only owners, admins and editors can press it. Approvers and viewers can see what is planned.

Good to know#

  • Nothing goes out until you press the button in step 3.
  • Press Start over in step 2 to throw away the batch. Those drafts won't be added to your calendar.
  • A day gets a busy day warning if it would have more than 3 posts on one network, counting what's already scheduled.
  • Times are in the brand's timezone (the workspace timezone unless the brand has its own). See Timezones.
