Open Connected Apps
On a computer, go to gemini.google.com, click Settings and then Connected Apps (on some accounts it sits under Personal Intelligence). Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.

Paste the Social9 address
Enter https://app.social9.com/mcp and click Next. Social9 registers Gemini automatically, so you don't need client credentials. Sign in, pick the brands and what Gemini may do, and press Allow.

Mention it in a prompt
In a chat, type @ and pick Social9, then ask. Once it's added on the web, the custom app also shows in the Gemini mobile app.

Test mode first
Every new connection starts in test mode. Gemini can draft and schedule, but nothing is sent to the networks or for approval until you switch it off.
Your approvals still apply
Posts follow the brand's Autopilot mode, approval rules, quiet hours and blocked words. Publishing right away and approving posts are off unless you tick them.
Permissions per app
Pick the brands Gemini can see and what it may do: read, create and schedule, use AI credits, publish now, approve, edit brands.
Revoke any time
See 90 days of activity for each app, remove a permission or disconnect it under Account menu → Connected apps. Access stops straight away.

Scheduling posts with Gemini: FAQ
Can Gemini schedule social media posts?
Yes, through a custom app. Gemini can't post to social networks itself, but once Social9 is added under Connected Apps → Custom apps, Gemini can draft posts, schedule them in Social9 and check your approvals.
Who can add custom apps in Gemini?
Google's help page lists these requirements: you're 18 or older and in the US, you use a personal Google account rather than a work or school one, Keep Activity is on, and you use Gemini in English. Google is still rolling the feature out, so not every eligible account has it yet.
Does it work with Gemini CLI or Antigravity?
Yes. Antigravity CLI and the Antigravity IDE read remote servers from mcp_config.json with a serverUrl field: use https://app.social9.com/mcp, then sign in from /mcp. Gemini CLI, which still serves Code Assist Standard and Enterprise organisations, takes gemini mcp add --transport http social9 https://app.social9.com/mcp followed by /mcp auth social9.
What about Gemini Enterprise?
Gemini Enterprise lets a Google Cloud admin add custom MCP servers as connectors. That's set up by your admin rather than by each user, so ask them to add the Social9 address.
Will Gemini publish posts without asking?
Not by default. New connections start in test mode, where nothing is sent to the networks or for approval. Publishing right away and approving posts are separate permissions that start switched off, and posts still follow your brand's Autopilot mode and approval rules.
Which Social9 plan includes MCP?
Individual ($12/mo), Team ($39/mo), Agency ($99/mo) and Enterprise. The Free plan can't connect AI apps. Owners, admins and editors can connect an app; approvers and viewers can't.
Does it use my AI credits?
Only when Gemini asks Social9 to write or make images, and only if you allowed AI use when you connected. A post costs 4 credits, the same as in the dashboard. Reading your calendar or scheduling posts you already have is free.

All 11 that Social9 supports: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky and Mastodon. Gemini works with the accounts you've connected in Social9.
