Connect in 2 minutes
One address for every app: https://app.social9.com/mcp. You sign in with OAuth, so no passwords or API keys go into Cursor.
- 1
Add Social9 to mcp.json
Add the JSON below to ~/.cursor/mcp.json to use Social9 in every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json for one project. You can also add it from Cursor's MCP settings.
- 2
Click Needs login
Cursor lists Social9 with a login prompt. Click it, sign in to Social9, pick the brands and what Cursor may do, and press Allow.
- 3
Ask the agent
In the agent chat, ask for what you need. Cursor asks before it runs a tool unless you've told it otherwise.
~/.cursor/mcp.json
{"mcpServers":{"social9":{"url":"https://app.social9.com/mcp"}}}- Cursor supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in, so you don't paste any keys. Recent versions also list MCP servers under Customize in the sidebar.

Safety
You stay in charge of what goes out
Test mode first
Every new connection starts in test mode. Cursor can draft and schedule, but nothing is sent to the networks or for approval until you switch it off.
Your approvals still apply
Posts follow the brand's Autopilot mode, approval rules, quiet hours and blocked words. Publishing right away and approving posts are off unless you tick them.
Permissions per app
Pick the brands Cursor can see and what it may do: read, create and schedule, use AI credits, publish now, approve, edit brands.
Revoke any time
See 90 days of activity for each app, remove a permission or disconnect it under Account menu → Connected apps. Access stops straight away.

FAQ
Scheduling posts with Cursor: FAQ
Can Cursor schedule social media posts?
Yes, with an MCP server. Cursor's agent can read files in your project, so it can turn a changelog or a docs page into posts and schedule them in Social9 without leaving the editor.
Global or project config?
Put Social9 in ~/.cursor/mcp.json to have it in every project, or in .cursor/mcp.json inside one repo. Avoid committing a project file if your teammates use their own Social9 workspaces; each person signs in separately anyway.
Will Cursor publish posts without asking?
Not by default. New connections start in test mode, where nothing is sent to the networks or for approval. Publishing right away and approving posts are separate permissions that start switched off, and posts still follow your brand's Autopilot mode and approval rules.
Which Social9 plan includes MCP?
Individual ($12/mo), Team ($39/mo), Agency ($99/mo) and Enterprise. The Free plan can't connect AI apps. Owners, admins and editors can connect an app; approvers and viewers can't.
Does it use my AI credits?
Only when Cursor asks Social9 to write or make images, and only if you allowed AI use when you connected. A post costs 4 credits, the same as in the dashboard. Reading your calendar or scheduling posts you already have is free.
Which networks can I schedule to?
All 11 that Social9 supports: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky and Mastodon. Cursor works with the accounts you've connected in Social9.
