One address for every app: https://app.social9.com/mcp. You sign in with OAuth, so no passwords or API keys go into ChatGPT.

Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and switch on Developer mode. On Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may need to allow it first.

Create the Social9 app
Choose Create app, name it Social9, paste https://app.social9.com/mcp and pick OAuth. Sign in to Social9, choose the brands and what ChatGPT may do, and press Allow.

Use it in a chat
Start a new chat, open the + menu, pick Developer mode and select Social9. ChatGPT asks you to confirm before it takes actions that change things.
- Custom MCP apps live behind developer mode, which OpenAI still labels beta. It isn't available on the Free plan. OpenAI lists full MCP support, including write actions like scheduling, for Business, Enterprise and Edu, and opened developer mode to Plus and Pro in September 2025. Which plans get what has changed more than once, so if you don't see the toggle, check your plan or ask your workspace admin.

Test mode first
Every new connection starts in test mode. ChatGPT can draft and schedule, but nothing is sent to the networks or for approval until you switch it off.
Your approvals still apply
Posts follow the brand's Autopilot mode, approval rules, quiet hours and blocked words. Publishing right away and approving posts are off unless you tick them.
Permissions per app
Pick the brands ChatGPT can see and what it may do: read, create and schedule, use AI credits, publish now, approve, edit brands.
Revoke any time
See 90 days of activity for each app, remove a permission or disconnect it under Account menu → Connected apps. Access stops straight away.

Scheduling posts with ChatGPT: FAQ
Can ChatGPT schedule social media posts?
Not on its own. ChatGPT can write posts, but it has no access to your social accounts. When you add Social9 as an MCP app, ChatGPT can create drafts and schedule them in your Social9 calendar, and Social9 publishes them through each network's official API.
Which ChatGPT plan do I need?
You need developer mode, which is a beta on ChatGPT's web app and isn't offered on Free. OpenAI lists full MCP support, including write actions, for Business, Enterprise and Edu, and made developer mode available to Plus and Pro in September 2025. On Business and Enterprise, an admin may have to allow it.
Does it work in the ChatGPT mobile app?
You add custom apps in developer mode on the web. OpenAI doesn't say that developer-mode apps work in the mobile apps, so plan on using Social9 from ChatGPT in a browser.
Will ChatGPT publish posts without asking?
Not by default. New connections start in test mode, where nothing is sent to the networks or for approval. Publishing right away and approving posts are separate permissions that start switched off, and posts still follow your brand's Autopilot mode and approval rules.
Which Social9 plan includes MCP?
Individual ($12/mo), Team ($39/mo), Agency ($99/mo) and Enterprise. The Free plan can't connect AI apps. Owners, admins and editors can connect an app; approvers and viewers can't.
Does it use my AI credits?
Only when ChatGPT asks Social9 to write or make images, and only if you allowed AI use when you connected. A post costs 4 credits, the same as in the dashboard. Reading your calendar or scheduling posts you already have is free.
Which networks can I schedule to?
All 11 that Social9 supports: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky and Mastodon. ChatGPT works with the accounts you've connected in Social9.
