I have over 35 years experience in IT…. This company is terrible… turnover is constant… false promises, right out lies, disappear then call and want more money for what two people ago said was included…. And refuses to give me access to what I paid for after asking many times for CPanel user I’d and password…. I guess court in Ohio is my next option

I used Thumbtack to find this service to re-design a website I have had for 4 years. I was promised every functionality I needed and it would be done in 4-6 weeks. I was urged to pay $1599 after a 10 minute call. I asked if I could pay half up front and the other half when completed. I was told no, they don't do that but they have a 100% money back guarantee. I paid the fee. Several hours later we found out we had lost funding for this project and I told the salesperson I wanted to cancel the order and get my money back (this is about 12 hours later). I got NO response.I was quickly assigned a design person (Jay) and I told that person I wanted to cancel and get my money back. I was then told he would have to check with their legal team. There were never any updates on talks with the legal team. Over the course of weeks I was told they would have to build the website and if I was unhappy then I could get my money back. It was a complete charade. To go along with this ridiculous premise, I provided some changes and pictures. I was sent an updated site to look at and it was NOT what I asked for at all! The pictures I sent were not there, pics I asked to be removed multiple times were still there! Wording I asked to be changed was not done. At this point I tell Jay how disappointed I am with the whole experience. The fact they won't refund my money and they don't even make the requested changes to the website is completely unacceptable! I was getting nowhere with them!I finally told Jay I was done and that if they didn't issue a refund by the end of the business day, I was going to dispute this charge on my credit card. I never heard back from him. The sales person lied, the design team is not good and this company is a scam.

My best friend's birthday was around the corner so I thought of animating our school life together. I contacted design genious and they didn't disappoint me at all. They listened carefully to all my ideas and made a perfect and beautiful animation which my best friend loves. In a very low price, I got the best work.I highly recommend this website, they have other services and I am sure those will be amazing too.

My review will mirror a lot of prior reviews but it needs to be said and hopefully you'll read this before giving this company a single cent. In May 2022 I was interested in having someone develop a new site. I had many companies reach out quickly. The sales associate at Design Genious was enthusiastic about earning my business. They claimed they could build a wordpress site in as little as a couple of weeks. This wasn't my first site and I've definitely had previous wordpress sites built in that time so it all sounded pretty good. They also informed me they could code a site as well for a larger sum that would take the summer to develop and would have all they same features my current wordpress with woocommerce site had. They stated it would run faster and have less clutter which was my ultimate goal. I needed something I could pass to an employee to maintain and it sounded perfect. After agreeing to the terms and paying the initial deposit, they started on the proofs. I received them in the time estimate given and approved as they looked pretty good. Joe Wells, lead developer assigned to my site kept in touch on a regular basis for some time. As the summer was wrapping up, I started to have some suspicion that the site would not be ready in the timeframe given due to the slowdown of contact. I reached out to get an update on when the site would be functional. Joe Wells stated it should be Live Mid-September . Mid September came and went. They finally uploaded the new site Mid-October after weeks of hounding them. The site was loaded but lacked most of the functionality required along with my entire catalog which involved 1500 hours of paid work to develop over 3 years which was a non-negotiable from the start. They then attempted to tell me that the functionality I required would cost an additional 65% over the cost of the initial website agreement. After several attempts to extort me they continued to lower the price offer substantially. This company is predatory...

If I can give zero stars I would! Awful to work with. I have asked for simple changes to my already designed website just to freshen it up and every time I spoke to someone it was like they kept trying to get more and more money out of me. Communication is terrible and they fixed nothing of what I asked. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money and my website is still incomplete after 4 months. They made my website live without it being in the proper language or with any of the changes I asked for. I have lost out on a lot of money by their incompetence on not listing my products properly or at all. Will not recommend to anyone to use this company.
