# X (Twitter)

## Where to find it

**Dashboard → Channels → X (Twitter) → Connect.**

X is not on the Free plan. X charges per post, so each paid plan has its own monthly allowance of X posts.

The allowance shows on **Dashboard → Usage** as **X posts this month**.

## Connecting

1. Press **Connect** on the X card.
2. Sign in to X and allow Social9 to post.

## What a post can include

## Options

Under **Network options tab → Options for X (Twitter)**:

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Post as a thread** | Splits long text into numbered posts of up to 280 characters |
| **Who can reply** | **Everyone**, **Accounts you follow**, or **Only people you mention** |
| **Add a poll** | 2 to 4 choices, from 5 minutes to 7 days. A poll cannot have photos or video |
| **Quote a post (link or ID)** | Quotes another post |

## The duplicate rule

X does not allow the same text twice within 24 hours on one account. Social9 checks this when you schedule. Change the wording a little, or post it a day later.
