# LinkedIn

> Post to your personal LinkedIn profile or to Company Pages, the Page role you need, and how long each connection lasts.

Social9 posts to LinkedIn in two ways: as **you**, on your personal profile, or as a **Company Page** you manage. They are connected separately, with two buttons.

## Where to find it

**Dashboard → Channels → LinkedIn.** The card has two buttons: **+ Profile** and **+ Company Page**.

LinkedIn is on every plan, including Free.

## Your personal profile

1. Press **+ Profile**.
2. Sign in to LinkedIn and allow Social9 to post.

One LinkedIn login is one profile, so once it is connected to a brand the button shows a tick.

> **Note:** LinkedIn ends personal profile connections after about 60 days. Social9 warns you before it happens. Press **Reconnect** and it carries on.

## A Company Page

1. Press **+ Company Page**.
2. Sign in to LinkedIn with an account that manages the Page, and allow Social9.
3. Every Company Page you can post to is connected to the brand.

### The role you need

You must be a **Super admin** or **Content admin** of the Page. Other Page roles cannot post.

If you get "This LinkedIn account isn't a Super admin or Content admin of any Company Page", ask a Page admin to give you one of those roles in LinkedIn, then connect again.

### Pages you start managing later

Press **Add more pages** on the LinkedIn card. Social9 picks up the new Pages.

Company Page connections renew themselves and last about a year.

## What a post can include

## Options

Under **Network options tab → Options for LinkedIn**:

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Who can see it** | **Anyone** or **Connections only** |
| **First comment** | Posted as a comment right after the post goes live |
| **Article link** | Shares a link card, with an optional title and description. Only when the post has no photo or video |

## Common problems

| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| **LinkedIn couldn't process this video** | Try an MP4 under 10 minutes |
| **Please reconnect this LinkedIn Page** | Press **Reconnect** on the Channels page |
