# Credits and usage

> What uses AI credits, how many each plan gets, when they reset, and what happens when you run out.

AI credits pay for the AI writing posts and making images. Posting itself does not use credits: you can write and schedule as many posts by hand as your plan allows.

## Where to find it

**Dashboard → Usage.** Or click your plan at the top of any page for a quick view. It shows how many credits you have left.

## Credits each month

Credits reset on the 1st of each month. Unused credits do not carry over.

## What things cost

Some examples:

| **Turn a link into posts** for 3 networks | 12 |
| **Write captions with AI** for 10 photos | 40 |
| **Get 6 ideas** | 4 |
| **Analyze my website** in Brand voice | about 4 |

If the AI fails or times out, you are not charged for what it did not write.

## The other limits on Usage

| Limit | What it counts |

| **AI credits this month** | AI writing and images |
| **Connected channels** | Social accounts connected across all your brands |
| **Scheduled posts this month** | Posts added to the publishing queue this month |
| **Brands** | Businesses or products you manage |
| **Team seats** | People with access to the workspace |
| **X posts this month** | Posts sent to X. X charges per post, so this has its own allowance |

On the Free plan, each account can also have up to 10 posts waiting at a time.

## When you get close

At 80% of your credits or scheduled posts, a banner tells you. At 100% it tells you again. You can dismiss it.

## When you run out

- AI buttons stop working until the 1st of next month, or until you upgrade. They show an upgrade offer instead.
- **Plan many** writes as many posts as your credits cover. The rest show as **Locked**.
- Everything else keeps working. Your scheduled posts still go out, and you can still write posts yourself.

To get more now, press **Raise this limit** on the Usage page, or **Get more credits** on Home, and pick a bigger plan.
